Dear Friends and Fellow Members,
I trust you all had a wonderful experience filled with learning, networking, and meaningful interactions at NCDL 2026, held at Novotel, Kochi, on 5–6 September.
For everyone who attended in person, I am sure there was something valuable to take back—new ideas, knowledge, experiences, and connections. I encourage you to share these learnings with your teams, friends, and fellow dry cleaners in your towns and cities. It is through this exchange of knowledge that we can strengthen our fraternity and make DLAI a stronger and more recognised voice for our industry.
For those who could not join us in Kochi, we look forward to having you participate in our upcoming online and offline learning sessions, which will commence shortly.
I invite all members to share your thoughts, feedback, suggestions, and key takeaways from NCDL 2026. Your inputs will help us improve, align our efforts, and collectively build a better and stronger DLAI that truly represents our industry.
I would also like to express our sincere appreciation to our friends from MULA (Malaysia). A very special thanks to Madam Zarina, President of MULA, for accepting our invitation and joining us in Kochi along with her colleagues. The exchange of knowledge, experiences, and industry perspectives between our associations was truly valuable.
A special congratulations and thank you also goes to all the participants of the India Best Practices Awards, and particularly to our winners. I am optimistic and confident that our selected participants representing India at the Best Practices Awards in Milan in October 2026 will make us proud and bring home laurels.
As we move forward, I urge each one of us to work together for the betterment of our fraternity and towards achieving the industry recognition our sector deserves. With cooperation, perseverance, persistence, and a common purpose, that goal is certainly within our reach.
I also encourage everyone to visit our new website, www.dlai.org.in—explore, learn, contribute, share, and help us spread knowledge throughout our fraternity.
Together, let us build a stronger, more connected, and more progressive DLAI.
Jai Hind! 🇮🇳
